Each week, we want to put a spotlight on our emerging athletes that participate in state league and local competitions across Australia. We are so proud to support clients from a wide range of sports and competitions, so let’s take a moment to highlight just a few who had stellar performances over the weekend!
In the final fixtured game of the year, Frank Anderson has helped Swan Districts claim a 31 point victory, where he had 25 disposals and 5 tackles playing through their midfield. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case for Peel Thunder and James Sturrock as they went down in their final game of the year. Sturrock collected 12 disposals and 4 tackles for Peel.
It was Elimination Finals this week in the QAFL and Max Spencer ensured Palm Beach progressed to a Preliminary Final adding 3 goals in their 45 point win. They will now take on Morningside for a spot in the Grand Final.
In the QAFL Colts, Ryan Pickering was named in Broadbeach’s best players guiding them to a 20 point win. Tom Hofert also kicked a goal for the side, helping them progress to a preliminary final against Wilston Grange next week.
Coolangatta’s Corey Joyce was named in his side’s best players as they went down in a Preliminary Final against Victoria Point.
North Shore Bombers Ryan Hebron and Sydney University’s Jake Bartholomaeus went head to head this weekend with North Shore Bombers coming out on top. Ryan kicked 2 goals for the game and has finished the season equal first in the competition’s goal kicking. Jake was also named in his sides best players. Both Jake and Ryan will move onto finals next week.
Maddie Hinchliffe’s Brisbane North Cougars have proved too strong for the Ipswich Jets on the weekend, winning by 3 points. The two teams were both undefeated heading into this round, making it an intense top of the table clash! With this weeks win, Maddie’s side is sitting on top of the Hart Sapphire Series ladder.
